Meet the Darklings

Seraph

Our highest ranking (and only) angel. We occasionally catch Seraph tilting her head in judgement or giving the ever-so-subtle approving smile. She is happiest twirling around to her favorite song " It's a small world"...it is, after all.

Maudlin

"Maude" is our moody girl. She changes her expression constantly. Maude prefers to sit alone and watch. Even a teddy bear sat next to her annoys her let alone another Darkling! She isn't big on cuddles but she loves her blanky (not pictured, that explains the sourpuss).

Dahlia

Named for my favorite flower, Dahlia is our little lover. She loves to be cradled and cuddled and much to Maudlin's chagrin, Dahlia LOVES her moody big sister . Her favorite place in the whole world is anywhere Maude is.

Victoria

Oh our little Victorian dog girl! Victoria would rather play with dolls than fetch a stick. Her opposable thumbs grant her the ability to use a fork and knife thus permission to take a spot at the dinner table. She is ever so well behaved (just don't call her a "Bitch").

Holly

This Darkling has a story resembling that of the lotus. She was found tangled in brambles and holly and covered in mud. Her eye had been poked out, a finger removed and she had been burned. Holly emerged from the mud and became the sweetest little elfkin to ever grace a doll house.

Theodora

"Baby let me be your lovin' teddy bear. Put a chain around my neck and lead me anywhere..." this little darkling was so dedicated to her love that she gave herself away. Theodora is a cautionary tale.

Cerys 'The Cannibal Carrot'

Our Cerys is a dedicated vegetarian. She is half Welsh, half carrot. She is a spikey sort but isn't troublesome if you keep her fed.

Crow Jane

Jane doesn't scare us (but don't tell her). She is the strong, silent type. Crow Jane is a protector and a loyal ally to all darklings.

Hermosa Muerta

Meaning "beautiful death" she is our wise woman. Hermosa holds the secrets of the afterlife but she keeps them under her veil. Don't ask her because she won't tell. She will just stare through your soul to the other side.

Cinnamon 'The Phoenix"

This little Darkling was rescued by a kind soul from a rubbish fire. Cinnamon was sent to me in the most peculiar package and was shortly after indulging in a bubble bath. Sometimes all one needs is a long soak, a bit of a scrub and clean clothes to feel like a new little lady. Cinnamon is an old soul thus she has plenty of advice for all Darklings who care to listen.

Mazzy

Mazziks are a fact of life ufortunately. Little Mazzy is our injurer, don't mess with this little lady. Mazzy is always aware of her surroundings due to her 360 degree perspective. Many of us have become spikey and distrusting due to the pain of life, as has Mazzy. Mazzy will never return to her roots, her happy days. She will forever exist to hurt before being hurt. We love Mazzy though we would never wish her sad fate on anyone.

Incubus and Succubus

Meet our darling, devilish, love seeking (and snatching) twins. Born 666 seconds apart and the product of a "devilled" egg splitting, these little ladies have only the very best intentions when it comes to love (as do we all). Be very wary of their sudden appearance though as they have a sinister motive when it comes to "eternal love".

Adrian

"He has his Father's eyes!"

Enough said.

Jezebeth

Named after the demon of falsehoods, Jez is a darkling who does things her own way (good or bad). The Father of the dollhouse thinks she resembles a photo negative and how apropos that is. Be very careful how you behave around Jezebeth as she will turn a flame into an inferno. This little demon lives for drama!

Sorrow

"But sorrow is the Kool-Aid of human emotions. True sorrow is as rare as true love."

Stephen King, "Carrie"
